The leading orginisation supporting prostate cancer research, services and awareness.  It provides services to men and their families, like Specialist Nurses, one-to-one support and information leaflets.  PCUK is leading the way in providing prostate education to medical professionals.

Tackle

Tackle Prostate Cancer is the only patient-led UK-wide charity representing people with prostate cancer and those who care for them.  Their aims are to:

  • Act as the voice of prostate cancer patients and their families
  • Encourage and assist the formation and development of patient-led support groups throughout the UK
  • Raise awareness of prostate cancer in the general population
  • Encourage improvement of health services and conduct campaigns to improve the wellbeing of those affected by prostate cancer

CancerCare is a unique independent charity dedicated to helping North Lancashire & South Lakeland families affected by cancer and other life limiting conditions.

Delivered by qualified and experienced staff, CancerCare’s wide range of free professional therapy services are designed to help individuals and their families come to terms with and manage the challenges of a serious health condition and include: Counselling, Hypnotherapy, Alexander Technique, Aromatherapy Massage, Group Activities, Support Groups and a Children and Young People’s Service.
